Harmony Village, Occidental
We are pleased to announce the Sonoma County Board of Supervisors approval of Orrin Thiessen's Harmony Village project. Construction commenced in Summer/Fall 2008 with the first residences being completed and ready for occupancy in Spring/Summer of 2009.
The project will reutilize the former Harmony Elementary School site, located in Downtown Occidental. For those of you unfamiliar with Occidental, it is a charming village located about 25 minutes from Santa Rosa, in western Sonoma County. Neighboring communities of Bodega Bay, Sebastopol, Graton and the Russian River are all within a short drive. The residents of Harmony Village will enjoy walking to Occidental’s eclectic mix of restaurants and shops amidst the old growth redwoods surrounding the village. This project also offers close proximity to the beautiful Sonoma Coast.
Harmony Village, as approved, will include 10 single-family homes, 12 residential condominiums, 1 mixed-use building, 6 commercial units and the home of Occidental Center of the Arts. The project also includes a community garden and outdoor common areas. Single-family homes will have 3 or 4 bedrooms and range in size from 1,600 - 2,600 square feet. Residential condominiums will have 2 or 3 bedrooms and range in size from 900 - 1,500 square feet. Prices for the residences at Harmony Village have yet to be determined.
The commercial space at Harmony Village has been designed for professional offices and studios.

Forestville Square Project, Forestville
Nestled in the rolling hills above the Russian River Valley, Forestville is one of West Sonoma County's most desirable places to call home or have a weekend retreat. Only an hour north of San Francisco, Forestville's rural charm and the natural beauty of the wine country await.
Orrin Thiessen, in cooperation with the Forestville Planning Association, is currently working on the final design for a town square in Forestville. Around the square, he proposes a mixed-use village with an amphitheater surrounded by a variety of restaurants, cafes, retail shops and an 18 room boutique hotel. Approximately 49 luxury residential condominiums will be located above the shops and on adjacent side streets. Pending approval by the Sonoma County Board of Supervisors, Thiessen Homes anticipates that construction of the Forestville Square will commence in 2010.
